Thomas ParkerEvercreech, Somerset, Jan 29, 2006 Thomas Parker Born about 1819 in Milborne Port, Somerset (See notes on Milborne Port) 1851 Census Lists Thomas aged 31 Carpenter Journeyman and Lucy his wife Dressmaker aged 26 born in Colchester Essex, with their son Augustine aged 2 and Teresa aged 1 months Living at 34 High Street West, Evercreech Somerset (4 miles south of Shepton Mallet)(See "History of Evercreech"and Timeline Note on Railways) 1861 Census Thomas Parker (b. about 1819 Milborne Port Somerset)(Carpenter & Joiner) and Lucy Parker (Dressmaker & Milliner born about 1824 Colchester) living at 136 Peter Street, Shepton Mallet (See "History of Shepton Mallet") With two sons Augustine T, 12, Francis St J , 8, (Listed as born c1853 Evercreech, Somerset) and three daughters, Teresa, 10; Rosaline 6, Emma,3 The children were all listed as scholars. (see Timeline notes on Education) Augustine, Francis and Teresa were all born in Evercreech and Rosaline and Emma in Shepton Mallett. This suggests the family moved there around about 1854. 1871 Census This shows the family as having moved to 111 Palmer Street Frome, Somerset but both Francis and Teresa had left home by that point. Three of their siblings were still living with their parents. Augustine listed as Watchmaker, and Rosaline as Dressmaker and Emma as dressmaker's apprentice. Teresa would have been 20 and may have been married.
